Always very proud to present results of the MOMENTUM study; this time about quality of life and toxicity in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma at the #MRinRT2024 conference in Rome
The unique global MOMENTUM collaboration gives us the opportunity to study outcomes after MR-guided radiotherapy in a large, international, prospective patient cohort, enabling evidence-based implementation of the 1.5T MR-Linac according to the R-IDEAL framework.
Ablative stereotactic MR-guided online adaptive radiation therapy is particularly promising for patients with mobile abdominal tumors, such as pancreatic cancer. We will investigate the impact of MR-guided radiotherapy on health related quality of life and survival in patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer in the Dutch randomized #LAPSTAR trial (funded by KWF Kankerbestrijding) - which is expected to start enrolling patients in the upcoming weeks!
